Phillip Christey has over 20 years experience working within several Christchurch Chartered Accountancy Practices, before joining Soar on 1 April 2009.  Phillip believes “every client should set and maintain personal and business goals”, and strives to provide all our clients the same level of service no matter what size their business is!  Phillip has special expertise in the areas of Trust and Estate Planning, Financing and Taxation, and is happy to answer any questions you may have in these areas.

Deidre Hardy founded Soar Ltd in 2003 after working in a variety of Chartered Accountancy Practices in both Christchurch and Nelson over a 15 year period.  Deidre also has experience working in a variety of administrative and management roles and so really understands how your business works from your perspective.  Deidre is passionate about using tools such as Planning, Budgeting, Goal Setting, Internal Systems and Structures and utilising your employees Strengths to help you achieve the most from your business.  With special interests in property investment and business coaching, Deidre prides herself in having a great work/life balance and supporting her clients to achieve the same result.

Stewart is married with two boys and his interests include cricket,golf and rugby.

Evans Chileshe - NZDip Bus, UK Diploma in Accounting Accountant.
Evans has worked in Chartered Accountancy Firms for over 6 years. He has a UK Diploma in Accounting along with NZ Diploma in Business Studies.  He brings with him a considerable experience with MYOB Business Software and assisting clients with their accounting and tax needs.

Evans’s expertise extends to include clients ranging from medium to small businesses and individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Evans is married with 2 sons, and his outside interests include playing sport such as Squash, Soccer and Golf.

Making sure our clients are looked after is Lois’s number one priority.  Lois is responsible for all the internal administration for Soar.  As well as this she provides Payroll support for our clients.  Lois also provides MYOB software backup support.

Karen’s knowledge of technology has made her a valuable asset with regards to the Soar data base, newsletter, pamphlets etc.  A major part of her role is to provide assistance and support to the management and administration team to ensure the smooth running of the business; this brief includes streamling and updating current systems.  Karen is enjoying the variety of work offered in a small team environment.
 
Prior to joining Soar, Karen had worked in the travel industry for many years (including Travel Agencies, Airlines, Coach Tour companies and also as a part owner of a Travel School), and this love of travel sees Karen and her partner off to France and Italy next year.

With previous Banking Industry experience under her belt, Julie is an expert in supporting the staff and management at Soar Limited.
It was this experience, which saw her employed as an Assistant to the Administration team.
A core part of her job is to provide assistance and support to the practice, managing many responsibilities to ensure the business runs smoothly for both management and clients.  Hers is a busy and important job which she adapts to the daily challenges of a growing firm. This role brings out the best qualities in Julie.
